Manage and professionally develop a small team of designers, mentoring on soft and hard skills
Craft and communicate compelling visual and verbal concepts relevant to customer and business needs
Clarify ambiguous problem spaces by teasing out user, environmental and market characteristics to support prioritization
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Design, Scrum and Quality to define requirements and deliver focused digital user experiences
Advocate for tactility, accessibility, customer needs and design excellence while shepherding projects to release
Measure and own results post-release to evaluate how well solutions address design and product needs
Requirements
Strong communicator with excellent presentation skills and ability to give and receive feedback
Management track record: led at least one designer as a direct report; mentorship experience
Iterative prototyping skills: proficient with low and high fidelity prototyping tools and wireframing techniques; experience with modern AI-powered prototyping platforms
Problem-solver: think critically and holistically about user interactions; address complex design challenges considering technical, business and design constraints
Organizational skills: assess appropriate level of design and research and create plans to reach final deliverables
Technical proficiency: experience with component-based design software (e.g., Figma and Adobe Creative suite) and tools like Miro
A robust portfolio showcasing user flows, wireframes, prototypes and final design solutions
Nice-to-haves: experience planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative user research; sports industry familiarity; growth mindset
