Contribute technical expertise and work within a focused team that designs, fabricates, integrates and tests RF and millimeter wave subsystems.
Work closely with scientists and engineers to provide support in developing state of the art RF subsystems for communication, radar and sensing applications.
Solve customer problems, write invention disclosures, publish papers, brief customers, participate in proposal activities and assist in marketing HRL expertise.
Operate complex electronic equipment and perform detailed analyses of integrated circuits.
Prepare written and oral presentations and interact professionally with program managers, co-workers, and customers.
Requirements
Some experience with modeling and simulating electronic components, RF electronics and circuits is desired.
Experience with different families of FPGAs, DSPs, or microcontrollers is desired.
A working familiarity with Python, C and MATLAB. Simulink is a plus.
Understanding of basic circuit theory, electromagnetics, and digital signal processing.
Familiarity with RF and high-speed digital test equipment.
Working knowledge of RF components for communication and radar systems is a plus.
Applicant must be able to interact professionally with program managers, co-workers, customers.
Ability to operate complex electronic equipment.
Perform detailed analyses of integrated circuits and prepare written and oral presentations.
Ability to work well in a team and independently.
Proficiency in use of computers, engineering workstations, complex electronic equipment, oral and written communication, interaction with vendors/colleagues and willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Master's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of experience.
Ability and willingness to travel 20% of time.
US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance.
