About the role
- Play a key role within the EE Design and Manufacturing teams by strategizing and executing EE module test procedures, equipment and data collection as needed to achieve effective and high quality new product production launches.
- Develop electrical design requirements into effective test strategies and test coverage plans.
- Specify, develop, and validate automated and manual test systems for PCBAs, modules, and end products.
- Work with suppliers, Contract Manufacturers and internal teams to align on test requirements and standardization.
- Support developing test fixtures, jigs, and interfaces for repeatable and reliable measurements. Select critical components for a variety of test fixtures.
- Provide hands-on support for production test lines, troubleshooting test failures, and performing root cause analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement in test yield, cycle time, and cost efficiency.
- Develop test procedures, work instructions, and operator training materials.
- Partner with design engineering to influence testability in early product design stages.
- Implement data collection and statistical analysis to monitor process capability and product reliability.
- Support failure analysis and corrective actions for returned or failed products.
- Act as the primary interface between the electrical design engineering team and Contract Manufacturers.
- Provide status updates in program meetings and to leadership.
Requirements
- Proven track record (5+ years) of planning and executing robust EE module test programs, particularly in factory environments with appropriate level of automation and reporting.
- Proven track record (5+ years) of delivering breakthrough electronics solutions from concept to mass production, with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
- Knowledge of analog, digital, power electronics and RF test methods.
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQs, and automated test equipment (ATE).
- Familiarity with MES systems and manufacturing analytics tools.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and programming (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, C/C++).
- Experience with PCB debugging, soldering/rework, and failure analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced development and manufacturing environment.
- Experience in automotive, consumer electronics or aerospace is a plus.
- Familiarity with reliability and environmental stress testing (HALT, HASS).
