About the role
- Design, build, and configure SAP applications
- Monitor and optimize system performance
- Implement technical changes and upgrades
- Troubleshoot issues and resolve technical problems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Manage user accounts and access rights

- Schedule and manage background jobs
- Maintain technical documents and procedures
- Participate in change management processes
- Continuously monitor HANA system performance metrics
- Analyze query performance and implement database tuning techniques
- Implement and maintain robust backup strategies
- Create, manage, and maintain user accounts and access privileges
- Implement and enforce security policies
- Configure and maintain HA configurations
- Apply necessary SAP HANA patches and updates
- Monitor system resource usage and plan for future capacity needs
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to database connectivity
- Generate reports on system health and performance metrics
Requirements
- Proficiency in SAP Basis Administration
- Strong understanding of SAP application design, build, and configuration
- Experience in system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of SAP HANA database architecture, features, and functionalities
- Expertise in SQL and HANA specific query optimization techniques
- Knowledge of database administration concepts like backup and recovery strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery
- Proficiency in HANA Studio and other HANA administration tools
- Understanding of SAP Basis concepts and system landscape
- Experience with system monitoring and performance analysis tools
