About the role
- Assist the HR Manager with various functions, including recruitment, health and safety, employee relations, file stewardship, WCB administration, and training
- Performance will be measured by the extent to which responsibilities have been fulfilled
- Submit the monthly billing statement for group benefits to Payroll
- Liaise with insurance carriers, WCB, and employees regarding claims
- Monitor employee attendance and prepare accurate and timely attendance reports
- Assist with the investigation and documentation of grievances and complaints
- Assist with timely submission of WCB forms and Accident Investigation Reports
Requirements
- College Diploma and 3-5 years’ experience, preferably in a unionized manufacturing environment
- Some post-secondary courses in human resources
- 5-7 years’ experience, preferably in a unionized manufacturing environment
- Computer literate
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented
- High level of organizational skills
- Experience with filing systems and digitization
- ADP experience is an asset
