About the role
- Investigate un-invoiced shipments and identify sales orders needing urgent shipping actions.
- Prepare invoices for sales orders scheduled for shipping and coordinate notifications with shipping agents.
- Maintain effective communication with dispatch, sales, customers, and After Sales regarding shipping updates and tracking information.
- Ensure compliance with Letters of Credit and collaborate with freight forwarders to prepare necessary documentation.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives like Lean Six Sigma/A3 and produce relevant metrics to track performance.
- Obtain competitive shipping quotes to support cost reduction efforts and prepare customs entry documentation as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in shipping administration is essential.
- Proficiency in software applications including Adobe, JDE, Teams, and Excel.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills are required.
- Ability to make informed decisions within established guidelines and take responsibility for outcomes.
- Capability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
