Account Executive

• Engage with inbound leads, using your licensing expertise to provide compliant information while connecting with empathy to understand each homeowner's circumstances
• Serve as a single point of contact throughout the investment process – providing status updates, responding to questions, requesting documentation – while maintaining a high volume of daily calls
• Coordinate with internal teams (processors, underwriters, etc.) to ensure efficient processes for homeowners
• Manage your pipeline using Salesforce and Hometap's proprietary Hub, keeping applications up to date and communicating next steps to homeowners and internal stakeholders
• Become an expert in Hometap's home equity investment (HEI) product and unique sales approach, actively participating in training and ongoing coaching
• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals
• Stay current on the competitive landscape and collaborate with colleagues across originations, marketing, and legal to resolve questions and improve the homeowner experience

Licensed Sales Consultant

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Conduct analysis of financial products, including but not limited to asset modeling, portfolio performance modeling, business case modeling, and scenario analysis
• Develop subject matter expertise on Hometap's financial products, including how they work and fit into the competitive landscape
• Research and develop potential new products and product changes, from hypothesis testing to supporting initial launch plans
• Contribute to pricing, structuring and feature decisions that optimize and evolve financial products
• Develop and maintain processes to continuously track, document, and synthesize information on relevant market trends
• Vet and prioritize opportunities for inclusion in the financial product roadmap, working closely with Finance, Data Science, Marketing, and Capital to create a compelling, data-driven rationale for each one
• Support creation of investor GTM narrative, including rationale supporting the product’s pricing, structure, assumptions, and methodologies
• Develop expertise on methodologies and solutions that influence the success of our financial products (e.g., valuation, property type policy)
• Be accountable for product competitiveness for target homeowners and investors
• Lead by example and embody Hometap’s values

Manager, Investment Strategy

Compliance

• Handle renewals, licensing items, and new license applications in current and future states
• Maintain Hometap's existing suite of state mortgage licenses, including broker, lending, servicing, and collection agency licenses as applicable
• Assist with license expansion efforts, including preparing and filing applications for new or additional licenses in NMLS and directly with states
• Track and assist with individual MLO licensing, including pre-license education, examination scheduling, and annual continuing education
• Oversee all NMLS matters related to licensing and registration for both the company and sponsored individuals
• Assist with filing annual and periodic reports with NMLS and various Secretary of State offices
• Implement change management items related to licensing
• Create, maintain, and update licensing procedural manuals, job aids, and tools
• Assist with preparing and filing the Mortgage Call Report and other required state filings
• Support various ad-hoc licensing projects

Compliance – Licensing Specialist

• Partner with Product and Operations teams to provide guidance on new and existing home equity offerings, with a focus on state lending regulatory requirements
• Participate in risk assessments, including control testing and remediation validation
• Complete monitoring and compliance testing activities on a designated schedule, focusing on origination and servicing requirements such as state-specific disclosures, payoff statements, quarterly account statements, and default handling – including preparing reports and summarizing findings for stakeholders and senior management
• Maintain current working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations applicable to home equity investments, including Regulation Z (TILA), Regulation X (RESPA), Regulation B (ECOA), Regulation C (HMDA), FDCPA, and SCRA/MLA
• Partner with business teams on issue remediation, including identifying open risks and ensuring operational changes are implemented to prevent future issues
• Provide expert regulatory advice on compliance program elements
• Monitor internal controls and establish testing programs within Servicing and Operations to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Review communications and documentation templates for adherence to regulatory requirements
• Assist in reviewing and resolving customer complaints related to servicing activities, identifying root causes, and documenting remediation as needed
• Develop and deliver compliance training and communications for employees
• Stay current on the broader regulatory environment, industry standards, and best practices for financial institutions

Senior Compliance Analyst

• Conduct compliance monitoring and testing on Hometap's Home Equity Investment (HEI) product and processes to ensure we meet regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Summarize monitoring and testing results for management, including trend analysis and remediation tracking
• Help manage consumer complaints by performing root cause analysis, recommending process improvements, tracking remediation, and ensuring responses meet regulatory deadlines and quality standards
• Monitor risk indicators like QC results, compliance testing, and complaint data to identify potential control gaps and support remediation efforts
• Partner with business teams to advise on new product offerings and features, ensuring compliance with current and proposed regulations
• Participate in risk assessments, including control testing and remediation validation
• Review marketing materials and homeowner-facing scripts for compliance with applicable regulations, including UDAAP
• Stay current on federal, state, and local regulations relevant to home equity investments, such as Regulation Z (TILA), Regulation V (FCRA), Regulation B (ECOA), UDAAP, the Fair Housing Act, and Interagency Guidance on TPRM
• Develop and deliver compliance training and communications for employees as needed
• Keep up with the broader regulatory environment, industry standards, and best practices for financial institutions
