Represent Hitachi Energy with state and local governments to build relationships and drive meaningful energy, grid, and manufacturing policy.
Lead engagement in states where Hitachi Energy has a strong presence, representing the company with local officials and hosting site visits.
Partner with facility community managers on local/regional events and secure regional thought leadership opportunities.
Lead advocacy on regulatory and energy topics with state and local elected officials.
Develop one-pagers, messaging materials, and regional positioning to elevate the Hitachi Energy brand.
Drive meaningful impact at the intersection of business, policy, and society; report to the Vice President of Government & Institutional Relations and work closely with Regional Business Unit Leaders and Corporate Functions.
Advance policy and regulatory issues related to the grid, AI/data centers, energy generation, and manufacturing with state officials.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of direct work experience in state government relations, state/county government experience, or state-based consultancy firm.
Proven track record of advancing policies and building relationships in the Southeastern region of the U.S.
Experience in grid and manufacturing policies.
Experience in policy research and state regulatory documents.
Successful track record working across multiple stakeholders to drive actions and results.
Focus on solving complex energy policy and regulatory issues.
State legislative experience is a plus.
Strong leadership and change management mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
