About the role

  • ***This position is remote based with up to 25% travel*** As Lead Director, Pharmacy Advocacy and Regulatory Affairs , you will advance our strategic and innovative pharmacy initiatives with Boards of Pharmacy for the Advocacy and Regulatory Affairs team. This role reports directly to the Executive Director of Pharmacy Advocacy and Regulatory Affairs and plays a critical role in executing the regional strategy. As a trusted partner to the Executive Director, the Lead Director will help shape and implement regulatory and advocacy strategies, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide priorities. You should demonstrate a deep understanding of the pharmacy business, manage multiple priorities, excel at deductive reasoning, and work collaboratively across the business enterprise to deliver best in class results. You will be responsible for supporting the Executive director in building relationships with external Board of Pharmacy members and staff, industry coalition members, associations and faculty in the assigned region to influence regulation on pharmacy practice across the enterprise. The Lead Director will build and maintain network of relationships across Corporate Affairs, Pharmacy & Consumer Wellness, and other business units to enable delivery of strategic and forward-thinking guidance. The Lead Director will help execute on the regulatory and advocacy strategy outlined by the Executive Director for the region. The supervising Executive Director may delegate ownership of specific state-level initiatives, including direct engagement with the Board of Pharmacy and leading comment letter development within the region. This role offers a pathway to broader leadership within the Regulatory Affairs team, with opportunities to lead enterprise initiatives and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Pharmacy and healthcare experience, including knowledge of and experience regulatory laws, experience advising on pharmacy and healthcare issues. Ability to travel up to 25% based on region needs. Doctorate of Pharmacy, PharmD required. Preferred: Expertise providing pharmacy rules analysis in the retail healthcare industry; Expertise providing support for Board of Pharmacy review; Technical expertise in pharmacy, healthcare, and analysis. Superior oral, written and presentation communication skills; High level of interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple client areas and stakeholder engagement; Detail-oriented, collaborative and proactive with risk mitigation; Superior problem-solving skills.
