Brainstorm, conceptualize and create new design campaigns and/or elements in collaboration with Historic New England team members
Produce designs for print and digital distribution including signage, digital ads and displays, website and social media, logos, billboards, banners, brochures, direct mail, flyers, e-newsletters, the annual report, and event materials
Ensure consistency and cohesive application of logos, fonts, colors and other branding elements
Provide clear communication and work cross-collaboratively with departments from project conception to completion
Work with printers and outside agencies, ensuring adherence to guidelines, timelines, deliverables and budget
Support priorities set by the Director of Marketing
Collaborate with leadership and brand teams to maximize sponsorship and partnership opportunities
Create and maintain relationships with consultants, partners, and vendors as necessary
Occasionally attend community events to build partnerships and relationships
Requirements
Degree in graphic arts, design or related field or equivalent combination of skilled credentials
Minimum of three-years’ experience in the graphic design industry
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize and manage projects with varying design specifications, tight timelines, and budgets
Ability to maintain a schedule of multiple projects and tasks, including deliverables and timelines, collaborating and communicating status with internal and external teams
Ability to accept team feedback constructively and revise designs when necessary
Ability to edit images and design assets quickly and efficiently
Familiarity with current visual design trends and how to apply them
Knowledge of accessible design
Knowledge of photo and font usage rights
Ability to use analytical data to create a results-driven approach
Experience developing and implementing content strategies and messaging that support organizational communication objectives
Excellent organization and project management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, stakeholders, and the public
New England residency required by start of work
Valid driver’s license and means of transportation
