Support Engineer

Rotex is seeking a Field Service Support Technician to support our Cincinnati, OH location. The role involves on-site startup, repair, and maintenance of industrial separation equipment. Troubleshoot machine downtime and perform overall machine assessments, and provide recommendations for repair or improved productivity. Perform new machine start-up inspections and operations training. Oversee onsite parts removal, installation and assembly. Recommend parts and service solutions to improve machine uptime, maintenance and operation. Provide written post-visit reports with a visit overview, observations, recommendations, and accompanying quote for recommended parts. Based on field observations and customer feedback, provide Rotex Engineering with equipment design and feature recommendations. Maintain a reasonable “on-call” status to answer customer questions via phone and email. Perform other assignments or duties appropriate to the overall responsibility of the position of Field Service Engineer. Assist in developing department documents, standards, and processes as necessary.

• Position Summary: Dynamic Mechanical Engineer with 6 to 10 years of experience in design and development of injection molding machines, extrusion machines, Special purpose machines involving heavy structures, castings, and light weight fabrication etc.
• Work You’ll Do: Experience in end-to-end product design and development of Injection molding machines/Extrusion Machines/Special Purpose Machines/Heavy Machineries.
• Concept design, design calculations (Machine design/bending/torsion), material selection and knowledge about heat treatment process.
• Customization of Standard and New machines with variant configuration, Competitor product analysis / Bench marking.
• Design and develop complex pieces of equipment such as Screws, twin screws, manifolds, and precise equipment’s like, tie bars, cylinders and valves with problem solving skills.
• Experience in selection of machine elements like cylinders, bearings, LmGuides, couplings, servo motors, Hyd pumps, rotary unions etc.
• Reverse engineering, design optimization for cost reduction and DFMEA.
• Knowledge about SPI/Euro map standards in design and development of injection molding machines.
• Good knowledge in manufacturing process such as casting, heavy fabrication and light fabrication, welding, and machine operations.
• Experience in sheet metal design and specifications.
• Team: Design Team, working in the Engineering design for Injection Molding machines.

Field Engineer

• Position Summary: Milacron is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team in Erie, PA and surrounding areas. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing quality installations, maintenance, and repairs of plastic injection/extrusion equipment. Breakdowns will require troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components and circuits.\n• Work You’ll Do: Troubleshoot and repair plastic injection/extrusion equipment using online/offline applications (Industry 4.0/ Automation studio). Perform schedule preventative maintenance activities on equipment. Effectively interface with customers in repairing equipment as needed. Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs. Install computer software programs to manufactured machines. Load programs into equipment. Utilize administrative tools (Concur, Sales Force, ADP) Properly fill out start up sheets, calibration certificates, and PM documents. Other duties may be assigned.\n• Team: This role will be part of the Aftermarket Service team and report directly to the Regional Service Manager.
