About the role

  • Manage activities of various IT personnel, including hiring, promotions, and terminations
  • Develop talent, address resource management, cultivate capabilities of staff, and manage performance
  • Oversee daily IT operations and control expenses within operating unit to meet budget goals
  • Coordinate, implement, problem-solve, communicate, and train on new technologies and processes
  • Provide subject-matter direction, guidance, training, and technical leadership to staff; assign and review work
  • Conduct performance reviews, skills assessments, schedule work and establish priorities
  • Oversee departmental budgeting, record hours, and optimize resource utilization
  • Participate in project teams, manage and track project details
  • Promote continuous improvement and ensure compliance with corporate and industry standards (SOX, SSP, DIACAP, PHPLC, etc.)
  • Provide leadership during organizational transitions and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or closely related discipline (Required)
  • Relevant experience and/or education may be accepted in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 years of experience as a developer (Required)
  • Experience with Project Management tools
  • Experience with databases
  • Experience with multiple coding languages
  • Certification such as JAVA Developer, DB2 Certification, Cognos Certification (Required)
  • Working knowledge of reporting software
  • Proficient end-user personal computing skills and PC skills (files and folders)
  • Proficient analytical skills and problem solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage employees and interact with senior management, internal clients, and external customers
  • Ability to adapt to change, multi-task, meet multiple deadlines, collaborate, lead others, work irregular hours, holidays and weekends
