About the role
- Reliably performs independent Human Resources studies, analyses, and interpretations to draw sound conclusions and recommendations
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures
- Designs and develops new and improved Human Resources methods and procedures
- Supports employee and labor relations matters
- Administers, coordinates, and maintains HR programs
- Coaches and mentors managers on employment issues
- Challenges and leads business and internal HR processes
- Coordinates and handles on-boarding of new employees
- Responsibilities also include managing background checks and coordinating drug and alcohol testing
Requirements
- 4-7 years of previously related work experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field
- Advanced knowledge of general Human Resources principles
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and HRIS applications (SAP experience/exposure considered an asset)
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant employment legislation and standards
- Strong understanding of core HR program areas, including compensation, recruitment, labor relations, and employee development
