About the role
- Architect, design, and implement cloud-based solutions tailored to the needs of mission-critical applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Develop innovative approaches to solve complex technical problems, utilizing deep technical expertise in cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Lead technical efforts across multiple projects, providing direction, mentoring, and expertise to ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., project managers, DevOps engineers, product managers) to ensure efficient deployment, operation, and support of cloud engagements.
- Optimize the performance, security, and cost-effectiveness of cloud solutions through proactive monitoring and auto-remediation mechanisms, troubleshooting bottlenecks, and implementing good governance in security and configuration management aspects of cloud & k8s.
- Contribute to the development of cloud service offerings, identifying new opportunities to enrich HPE’s Cloud Services portfolio.
- Ensure cloud architecture and solutions comply with security standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical leadership in the implementation of DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines for cloud environments.
- Act as a subject matter expert and a mentor to less experienced team members, fostering knowledge-sharing and growth across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in cloud development, architecture/system design & improving best practices to enhance security posture using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes and its components.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and infrastructure services.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible), concepts around Disaster Recovery and familiarity with version control.
- Proficient in programming languages (2+ yrs) such as Python, Go, or JavaScript, with the ability to write clean, scalable code.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to streamline software delivery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to guide team decision-making, manage projects, and mentor peers.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
