About the role

  • Conduct research on next-generation networked systems technologies, architectures, and systems for AI, HPC, Enterprise, and Telecommunications
  • Develop cutting-edge technologies that provide competitive advantage
  • Collaborate with team members to innovate and generate solutions
  • Contribute to the development of high-impact research projects such as media technologies (XR, AR, VR), disaggregated systems, and interconnects

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Computer Science or Electrical & Computer Engineering
  • Excellent networked systems building skills
  • Strong background in distributed systems, HPC and AI workloads, enterprise and telecommunication networks, cloud applications, & network protocols
  • Excellent understanding of current state of the art, major trends and opportunities
  • Proven track record in innovative research contributions
  • Strong programming and system building skills
  • Highly desirable: C/C++, Python, Linux Kernel development, Network Stack
  • Experience with CUDA, PyTorch, K8s, TensorFlow, KNative, OpenvSwitch and other control and orchestration platforms
  • Proficiency in network protocols and technologies (Ultra Ethernet, Slingshot, Collectives Communication, IP, TCP/UDP, P4, 5G, eBPF, DPDK)
  • Knowledge of WiFi/cellular protocol stack
  • Experience with wireless systems building including SDRs (e.g. USRPs)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated with an ability to work independently and well with others in a team
