Program Coordinator

• Coordinate outreach and technical assistance activities supporting public health workforce awareness in the Metropolitan Area Region
• Support K-12 engagement, apprenticeships, fellowships, externships, and internships with local health departments, academic institutions, and regional, state, local, and community-based partners
• Establish and maintain relationships with local health departments, K-12 programs, higher education institutions, and workforce partners across 10 counties
• Design and establish internship, fellowship, and externship opportunities with partners
• Provide ongoing implementation support to local health departments
• Coordinate technical assistance and training for partners and participants
• Coordinate development and maintenance of memoranda of understanding with regional higher education institutions
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of participants and placements
• Support host organizations, supervisors, and participants; identify gaps and continuous quality improvement areas
• Create and oversee professional development programming
• Promote public health workforce awareness programs at career fairs and community events
• Complete other related duties

Program Coordinator I

General

• Provide administrative support to the Program Team within the Division of Public Health Infrastructure
• Manage and coordinate outreach and technical assistance activities supporting public health workforce awareness
• Handle and coordinate staff calendars
• Assist with processing Executive Deputy Clearance (EDCs) and Internet/Publication Request Forms (IPRs)
• Assist with creating, reviewing, and editing formal correspondence and documents
• Engage with vendors including Zoom and SurveyMonkey
• Handle purchase orders
• Organize SharePoint for the program
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Comply with funding requirements, including time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables

Administrative Aide

• Coordinate outreach and technical assistance activities supporting public health workforce awareness in Western New York
• Support K-12 engagement, apprenticeships, fellowships, externships, and internships with local health departments, academic institutions, and regional, state, local, and community partners
• Establish and maintain relationships with local health departments, K-12 programs, higher education institutions, and workforce partners across 17 Western New York counties
• Design and establish internship, fellowship, and externship opportunities with local health departments and community-based partners
• Provide ongoing implementation support to local health departments
• Coordinate technical assistance and training for partners and participants
• Coordinate development and maintenance of memoranda of understanding with public health higher education institutions
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of participants and placements
• Communicate regularly with and support host organizations, supervisors, and participants
• Identify gaps and areas for continuous quality improvement
• Create and oversee professional development programming for participants
• Promote public health workforce awareness programs at career fairs and community events
• Complete other related duties as appropriate

Administration

• Oversee program contract management, administration, and development activities supporting OHEHR Executive Team priorities and initiatives
• Oversee contract development, documentation review and approvals, and implementation of work
• Provide guidance to staff and contractors on questions and issues
• Ensure compliance with federal and state requirements
• Conduct vendor management and operations
• Oversee contracting and payment processing functions, including auditing reimbursement claims
• Oversee provision of contracts, claims payments and processing, and access to medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy services for members of recognized American Indian Nations in New York State
• Identify, pursue, and implement policy, operational, and programmatic improvements addressing American Indian and Native health needs
• Perform other appropriate duties as assigned
