About the role
- Support the organization’s associate relations strategy by leading high-risk investigations, advising leaders, and ensuring consistent, fair employment practices
- Lead complex and high-risk associate relations investigations to ensure fair resolution and mitigate risk
- Advise and coach leaders on policy interpretation, performance management, and employment practices
- Identify associate relations trends and develop targeted action plans based on data and root cause analysis
- Conduct on-site assessments and provide real-time support during crisis situations or high-risk events
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and other partners to manage regulatory claims and workplace incidents
- Support labor relations strategy and response planning
- Deliver training to leaders on associate relations, compliance, and leadership accountability
- Mentor and develop HR partners to strengthen associate relations capability across the territory
- Manage a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff
- Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field (preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in associate relations, employment law, or human resources
- Experience supporting a multi-site organization
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline
- Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field
- May require certification
