About the role

  • Build relationships and develop plans to increase sales and profitability for targeted national accounts
  • Drive sales by creating, executing and communicating business plans to grow sales
  • Research, develop and acquire account opportunities; communicate competitive strengths
  • Develop and execute profitable business plans; negotiate national contracts and rebate programs
  • Team with sales and corporate personnel to communicate account plans and pricing
  • Participate in local and national trade associations and conferences
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems; make decisions under uncertainty
  • Independently perform assignments; may oversee project completion and review work
  • Requires operation of a personal vehicle and acceptable MVR; travel requiring overnight stays more than 50% of time
  • Work environment: primarily indoor, mostly sitting with occasional light lifting

Requirements

  • Must reside in the specified state(s): Texas, North Carolina, Pennsylvania
  • Operation of a personal vehicle required; acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required
  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline; MS/MA accepted
  • Generally 5-8 years of related experience (BS/BA) or 3-5 years with MS/MA
  • Experience in national account management, sales planning, and contract negotiation
  • Ability to travel overnight more than 50% of the time
  • Problem-solving skills; ability to make decisions with incomplete information
  • May oversee projects and contribute to employee development
