About the role
- Build relationships and develop plans to increase sales and profitability for targeted national accounts
- Drive sales by creating, executing and communicating business plans to grow sales
- Research, develop and acquire account opportunities; communicate competitive strengths
- Develop and execute profitable business plans; negotiate national contracts and rebate programs
- Team with sales and corporate personnel to communicate account plans and pricing
- Participate in local and national trade associations and conferences
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems; make decisions under uncertainty
- Independently perform assignments; may oversee project completion and review work
- Requires operation of a personal vehicle and acceptable MVR; travel requiring overnight stays more than 50% of time
- Work environment: primarily indoor, mostly sitting with occasional light lifting
Requirements
- Must reside in the specified state(s): Texas, North Carolina, Pennsylvania
- Operation of a personal vehicle required; acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline; MS/MA accepted
- Generally 5-8 years of related experience (BS/BA) or 3-5 years with MS/MA
- Experience in national account management, sales planning, and contract negotiation
- Ability to travel overnight more than 50% of the time
- Problem-solving skills; ability to make decisions with incomplete information
- May oversee projects and contribute to employee development
