Legal Assistant

• Provide day-to-day transactional and administrative support to attorneys and legal operations leadership
• Maintain organized electronic and physical legal files in document management systems (e.g., iManage or similar)
• Track key dates, deadlines, and deliverables across legal matters and transactions
• Assist with preparation, formatting, proofreading, and distribution of legal documents, closing binders, and correspondence
• Coordinate execution of agreements, signature packets, and notary requirements
• Maintain transaction checklists and monitor the status of closing deliverables
• Support post-closing processes, including data room organization and archival
• Assist with transaction workflows from diligence through closing and post-closing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal requirements
• Prepare, file, and maintain UCC financing statements, amendments, assignments, and terminations, ensuring accurate tracking and recordkeeping within the organization’s UCC management system
• Prepare and file entity formation, foreign qualification, and corporate governance documents across multiple jurisdictions
• Serve as a liaison between Legal and internal departments such as Finance, Operations, and Compliance to support business objectives
• Facilitate information gathering for due diligence, audits, regulatory reporting, and internal reviews
• Proactively identify issues, manage competing priorities, and exercise judgment to resolve matters efficiently or escalate when appropriate
• Support AI implementation and knowledge management initiatives, template governance, and continuous process improvement led by Legal Operations
• Assist with compliance tracking, reporting support, and coordination of required legal or regulatory training activities
• Other duties as may be assigned in furtherance of the support of the legal team

Chief of Staff

• Assist the COO in managing priorities, information flow, and cross-functional projects
• Support strategic planning, initiative tracking, and execution of key operational, technology, and data efforts

• Proactively identify and resolve business challenges, anticipating needs and removing barriers

Technical Chief of Staff

Account Manager

• Build, manage, and strengthen long-term investor relationships through proactive outreach with a focus on insurance companies, pension funds and banks.
• Establish a consistent communication cadence to ensure up to date information on investor appetites and areas of focus.
• Preview and pitch transaction opportunities for institutional investors, including preparation of financial models, marketing materials, investor presentations, and communications, to participate in both individually and as part of a club.
• Propose and negotiate potential Separately Managed Accounts or other committed capital arrangements with institutional investors.
• Become knowledgeable in all of HASI’s various asset classes and collaborate with other Investment Team members to understand what products could be available for investment by institutional investors.
• Provide a feedback loop between the HASI Investment Team and institutional investors as to what types of transactions may be available from HASI and what types of transactions may be of interest to the institutional investors.
• Lead transaction closing with institutional investors and ensure effective communication and learnings to apply to future transactions.

Director – Capital Partnerships

Director

• This individual will lead a team which manages closing, funding and transaction management activities across HASI’s investments.
• The types of investments include solar (utility scale and distributed), storage, wind, clean fuels, EV and other sustainable infrastructure projects.
• The core responsibilities of the role include being the commercial leader and main point of contact with clients during the capital deployment phase of a transaction.
• Leading a team which drives timely, efficient and proper closings.
• Expected to supervise and be accountable for tasks such as confirming that all components of transaction underwriting are reflected in financial models, including IRR/returns, cash waterfall, sponsor equity requirements and align with commercial details of project documents.
• Identify and report any discrepancies between the project documents and the financial model.
• Collaborate with project teams to address any inconsistencies found during the review process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all reviewed materials.
• Enforce deeper level model review to ensure model mechanics are functioning appropriately.
• Analyze model scenarios and advise on custom analysis.
• Participate in solving unique challenges that may arise as part of each funding.
• Provide regular updates to the relevant teams on the status of projects.

Manager

• Evaluating the appropriate accounting treatment for our investments
• Supporting quarterly close activities such as entries for Equity Method Investments, Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) analysis, and footnote development
• Collaborating with other departments to assess the impact of transaction terms on their related accounting treatment
• Drafting and reviewing accounting memos to document our accounting conclusions for our investments
• Collaborating with joint venture partner accounting teams in the preparation and review of equity investment income/loss allocations
• Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Contributing to the operating effectiveness of our compliance with a Sarbanes-Oxley (404) internal controls environment
• Creating efficiencies in processes through the use of automation tools
• Assisting with the quarterly asset impairment analysis
