About the role

  • Support, repair, and maintain robotic instrumentation
  • Provide high quality customer support through instrument installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Responsible for new equipment installation
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair Hamilton equipment
  • Report problems and perform root cause analysis on instrument failures
  • Regular commute to and from customer sites with ability to navigate within the region

Requirements

  • A high desire for quality
  • Demonstrated experience working in the field as well as corporate setting
  • Ability to train non-technical personnel on highly technical material
  • Ability and willingness to work in a safety conscious manner necessary due to potential hazardous chemicals and biologicals
  • Ability to learn new robotic operating systems
  • The FSE must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License
  • Must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check
  • Must have personal, reliable transportation with valid registration and insurance that can safely transport necessary equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electronics, electrical, mechanical, and computer systems
  • Experience in technical field service and working with customers in the life science, clinical, or pharmaceutical field is preferred
  • Experience in automation or similar field is required.
  • Being fluent in English, both written and spoken, is required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move approximately 60 lbs.
