About the role
- Manage procurement, inventory control, distribution, and logistics for medical supplies and equipment.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), and suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance, pricing, and service-level agreements.
- Analyze spend data, utilization trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation, traceability, and recall management processes.
- Implementation and optimization use of ERP, inventory management, and procurement systems.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders, nursing, physicians, and operations to align supply decisions with patient care needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- 3-5+ years of supply chain or materials management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with healthcare purchasing, inventory management, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare supply chain processes and best practices
- Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong financial analysis expertise and data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to move throughout healthcare facilities, including supply rooms and warehouses
- Occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds
