About the role

  • Serve as the primary and autonomous HR point of contact for H 2 O Innovation USA, based in Ramsey and supporting employees across multiple U.S. locations
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations and employee relations
  • Support and guide managers through a wide range of employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, workplace investigations, and terminations
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes end-to-end, including onboarding, offboarding, internal mobility, and leave administration
  • Provide timely support to employees by addressing inquiries related to policies, working conditions, and HR programs
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and HR standards while maintaining compliance with U.S. federal and state employment laws
  • Partner with managers on workforce planning, team development, and organizational effectiveness
  • Coordinate and execute the deployment of HR programs and initiatives across U.S. locations
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to support recruitment activities as needed
  • Partner with payroll and benefits providers to ensure accuracy and compliance in employee data, compensation changes, and benefits administration
  • Support the administration and renewal of group insurance and benefits programs in the U.S.
  • Identify process gaps and implement practical improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
  • Contribute to the achievement of HR and organizational objectives (OKRs) and actively promote H 2 O’s values and culture across locations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience, with exposure to employee relations and day-to-day HR operations
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR practices
  • Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, leave management, terminations)
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
  • Comfortable working independently while staying aligned with a remote manager and team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to support managers and employees
  • Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, and Microsoft Office tools (or similar platforms)
  • Professional HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR (asset)
