About the role

  • Provides unique Market Strategy subject matter expertise within the pharmaceutical industry primarily to large and mid-sized global pharmaceutical companies.
  • You will lead or thread your skill through projects that could include any combination of the following: Therapeutic area strategy development, Product opportunity assessments, Commercial strategy, Business development search and evaluations, Due diligence, Market Access Strategy, New product launches, planning and positioning, Payer landscape assessments, Evidence Planning and Real-World Evidence.
  • Oversees multiple clients and project deliverables simultaneously of all varying sizes and durations.
  • Supervises, mentors and develops Guidehouse personnel.
  • Manages client interactions and expectations.
  • Drives new revenue generation with existing clients.
  • Develops business with new clients, drawing upon industry connections.
  • Participates in non-client related firm-building activities.
  • Assumes greater overall responsibility for quality control of client work product.
  • Creates, leads and drives the Guidehouse point of view and the deliverables from a Market Strategy perspective.
  • Adheres to Guidehouse risk management guidelines. Identifies and evaluates issues for risk management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in life sciences industry with 5-8 years in management consulting preferred
  • Pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical marketing or market research experience
  • Strong knowledge of and application of pharmaceutical commercialization and lifecycle strategies
  • Understanding of market/financial analysis in context of Life Sciences business needs
  • Strong understanding of financials, budgets, and ability to develop quantitative models for forecasting populations/sales
  • Proven track record generating revenues/leveraging influences to drive change with existing and new clients
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Strong conceptual, qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Strong project management skills are imperative for leading multiple teams
  • A strategic problem solver
  • Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree required from accredited university
  • Ability to travel as the job requires – up to 50%
