About the role
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Historian software and integration across global manufacturing sites
- Own and evolve product strategy and maintain product roadmap for Historian systems aligned to business and compliance
- Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to root cause analysis for AspenTech IP.21 and Inmation tools
- Collaborate with central tech functions to ensure data integration to cloud-based platforms
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and business teams to deliver solutions and track adoption/performance metrics
- Oversee backlog management and ensure alignment with roadmap goals
- Address IT risks including Business Continuity Planning, IT security, and confidential data management
- Manage engagement with strategic partners and vendors (contracts and delivery oversight)
- Support manufacturing site network and mentor product owners and influence senior stakeholders
- Contribute to expansion initiatives such as Manufacturing Data Management and Factory Integration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a relevant technical subject
- Experience / Knowledge of managing Historian systems (eg; Aspen IP.21, AVEVA PI, or similar)
- Understanding of data governance and compliance (ideally from a highly-regulated environment)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong experience of working in complex technical situations
- Self-starter with strong people skills and proven ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Continuous improvement mindset and hands-on approach
- Preferred: Knowledge/experience of GMP
