About the role

  • Establish supportive working relationships with parents and young children
  • Provide ongoing prevention services to families
  • Support families in helping their children grow, learn, and develop to their fullest potential.
  • Develop and implement individualized and developmentally appropriate plans for each child and family that meets program standards and the family’s needs
  • Complete assessments and screenings to aid in working with the families and identifying their strengths/needs
  • Complete official case notes/documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child & Family Studies, Human Services, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or closely related field preferred
  • A valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurable driving record
  • An ability to work independently and create your own schedule- utilizing flexible working hours and the possibility of working from home at times.
  • Experience in working with or providing services to children and families
  • *Community/ In home experience a plus.*
  • Willing to engage in building reflective capacity (e.g., capacity for introspection, communicating awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing the value of supervision, etc.)
  • An ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills
  • Experience and/or training in trauma-informed care principles and trauma treatment is valued in applicants.
