About the role
- Establish supportive working relationships with parents and young children
- Provide ongoing prevention services to families
- Support families in helping their children grow, learn, and develop to their fullest potential.
- Develop and implement individualized and developmentally appropriate plans for each child and family that meets program standards and the family’s needs
- Complete assessments and screenings to aid in working with the families and identifying their strengths/needs
- Complete official case notes/documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child & Family Studies, Human Services, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or closely related field preferred
- A valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurable driving record
- An ability to work independently and create your own schedule- utilizing flexible working hours and the possibility of working from home at times.
- Experience in working with or providing services to children and families
- *Community/ In home experience a plus.*
- Willing to engage in building reflective capacity (e.g., capacity for introspection, communicating awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing the value of supervision, etc.)
- An ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills
- Experience and/or training in trauma-informed care principles and trauma treatment is valued in applicants.
