About the role
- Oversee and participate in warehouse functions for wholesale distribution including receiving, inventory management and distribution, and maintenance of equipment and facility
- Ensure that all safety and loss prevention procedures are followed
- Travel and relocation post program will be required based on openings pending successful completion of the program
- Gain exposure to all facets of the organization's warehouse operations procedures from planning, inventory, quality, finance, safety, human resources and sales functions within the business
- Supervise and assists in receiving, restocking, inventory control, pulling and preparing orders, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, shipping order and product returns
- Support project management and process improvement initiatives
- Participate in other projects and learning opportunities
- Encourage participation and communication from team members to solve business challenges and translate operational strategies
- Ensure cycle counting is done
- Ensure quality of work by warehouse staff
- Build effective teams using the company’s culture and value to deliver high levels of employee engagement and performance management
- Assure administrative functions are completed timely
- Maintain physical facility to ensure adequate safety, protect against loss, and present a professional company image

Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older to operate equipment
- Foundation level of business and financial acumen
- Executes and makes plans to deliver business metrics
- Critical decision-making capability with a strategic mindset
- Capacity to influence others through coaching, servant leadership, collaboration and employee engagement
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Excellent math skills and understanding of basic accounting methods
- Ability to project a positive image to customers
- Knowledgeable in applicable computer software
- Ability to lift to 65 lbs often
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to safely lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
- Ability to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds - working with barrels and industrial/agricultural tires
- Ability to work at heights of 25 feet
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Good memory and ability to work accurately with lengthy part numbers
- Able to process a large volume of paperwork with good attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and safe operating procedures
- Ability to be trained and use powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and high reach lifts
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana
