About the role
- Support coordination of interrelating activities of trade partners, suppliers, vendors, customers, design, and engineering efforts
- Provide organizational, leadership, communication, management, and problem-solving on project(s)
- Monitor and report on financial status of project(s); subcontract and contract administration
- Develop and maintain job progress schedules to align construction with schedule
- Purchase and monitor delivery of materials ensuring price, quality, and conformance to specifications
- Negotiate contracts with trade partners and vendors; eliminate scope gap and limit project risk
- Review and approve trade partner and vendor payment requests and evaluate change order requests
- Work with design and engineering teams to ensure projects meet operating guidelines and technical requirements
- Prepare and present project reports (monthly red files, progress analysis/schedules, billings, status reports)
- Organize and maintain job files and review shop drawings and submittals for scope compliance
- May perform estimating and proposal preparation efforts
- Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s safety and quality programs on site
- Support team leadership and collaborate across multiple teams on the project
- Supervise project support team members and subcontractors
Requirements
- Minimum of six years of experience in construction management
- Technical knowledge and experience supporting projects in a Project Manager I role or equivalent, and/or completion of at least two projects in a Project Manager I role or equivalent
- Preference for bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture)
- Possesses advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office, mobile devices, and innovative programs/software provided by Gray
- Energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment with a passion for collaboration and professional development
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to supervise project support team members and subcontractors
