About the role
- Study specifications to assist planning procedures for construction on the basis of start and completion times and staffing requirements.
- Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project/Site Manager.
- Assist in the development of MEP project schedule within the entire construction schedule.
- Prepare estimates in areas of MEP self-performed work and assist in complete project estimate.
- Coordination/management of all trades throughout build process.
- Solicit prices from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for review and approval by MEP Project Managers.
- Assist in selection of qualified bidders and negotiate final prices.
- Assist in drafting subcontracts and purchase orders for MEP Project Manager's review and approval.
- Assist in the preparation of various reports, i.e. cost to complete, monthly billings, and status reports.
- Review all drawings issued to the field and coordinate and maintain a current set at all times.
- Assist in pricing work, draft changes, and change orders to be reviewed by MEP Project Manager.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with the project.
- Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
- Schedule work, including subcontractors.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and a minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications.
- Energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment.
