About the role
- Deliver vCFO services including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Prepare complex financial statements, including large consolidations and compilations
- Prepare monthly reports, forecasts, and tax related documentation
- Apply expertise in preparing complex budgets/forecasts, monthly financial reporting/dashboards, and year-end financial statements
- Provide insights to help clients optimise their financial performance
- Gradually take on direct client relationship responsibilities and become a key point of contact and trusted advisor
- Participate in advisory projects and commercial engagements
- Contribute to business development activities
- Provide guidance to the junior team and contribute to a positive team culture
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting in a CA environment
- High proficiency in Excel for financial modelling, analysis and reporting
- High proficiency in Xero
- Familiarity with most off-the-shelf accounting systems, e.g. MYOB
- High performing and results driven individual
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Acts with integrity and delivers on their own commitments and supports others to do the same
- Ability to demonstrate a strong attention to detail while maintaining awareness of broader business considerations
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Professional certification – or in progress (CA or CPA) is preferred
- Legal right to work in New Zealand
- Pathway to residency or NZ Resident or Citizen required to qualify for role
