About the role
- Oversee tax planning, compliance, and strategy for a portfolio of small business clients
- Review tax returns and ensure clients are compliant with tax regulations
- Identify opportunities for tax savings
- Act as primary point of contact for clients, addressing tax concerns and providing proactive tax advice
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and ensure exceptional service delivery
- Review basic bookkeeping work
- Manage clients in industries including dental, medical, and veterinary
- Occasionally go on site to work with a manager as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other relevant field required
- Masters degree in Accounting/Taxation ideal
- 4 – 5 years of prior experience in taxation
- Prior supervisory experience
- CPA certification
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to review basic bookkeeping work
- Deep understanding of small business tax laws and strategies
- Must be located in one of the firm's Ohio locations or in the Gilbert/Phoenix area to occasionally go on site
