About the role
- Participate in a 4-week paid training program to learn essential selling skills.
- Hybrid work schedule permitting two remote workdays per week after Academy training.
- Manage a book of business of 100+ mid-size customer accounts associated with 1-2 specific industries.
- Report to Manager of Inside Sales and meet performance expectations for daily outbound calls and monthly sales goals.
- Establish, cultivate and build relationships with Grainger customers in a team-oriented sales-center environment.
- Grow revenue using Grainger’s selling skills, services, product line, and technology tools; uncapped commission potential.
- Source and prioritize new sales opportunities through outbound phone calls and email.
- Adapt communication approach to customer needs and close sales opportunities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Comfort spending 50% or more of the day working with customers over the phone.
- Experience with a customer relationship management software, such as Salesforce, is a plus.
