About the role
- Evaluate existing and emerging ingredients to develop new, evidence-based claims across our product portfolio (Grüns, Nütrops, and future innovations)
- Review marketing materials to elevate claims and ensure regulatory compliance
- Partner with the Product team to research ingredient benefits, inform new formulas, and support early-stage product ideation
- Support clinical study initiatives for new products, working closely with Director of Science and Regulatory and third-party partners to design and execute trials
- Develop clear training materials to upskill internal teams and embed them in onboarding and internal communications by year one
- Report into the Director of Science and Regulatory
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in science, regulatory affairs, or product development, including at least 1+ year within the dietary supplement or food industry in a related capacity
- Master’s degree or higher in a health-related scientific field (ex. nutrition, biochemistry, molecular biology, physiology, public health, etc.). PhD preferred
- Deep understanding of scientific research methods plus strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Experience with clinical study design, management, and analysis is preferred
- Familiarity with FDA and FTC regulations related to dietary supplements, especially regarding structure/function claims and substantiation
- Understanding of dietary supplement labeling, GRAS assessments, and new dietary ingredient (NDI) submissions, a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor communication to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Curious, solutions-oriented, collaborative, and organized with a bias toward action and creating scalable processes
