About the role
- Own Full-Cycle Recruiting Across All Functions
- Source, screen, and close candidates across engineering (product and platform), sales, GTM, client success, compliance, and operations
- Manage multiple concurrent searches while maintaining quality and candidate experience
- Build deep talent pipelines for critical roles before they become urgent
- Design and Implement Hiring Infrastructure
- Develop structured interview processes, scorecards, and evaluation criteria for each role type
- Build repeatable hiring playbooks that maintain bar while increasing velocity
- Implement and optimize Ashby ATS workflows and recruiting metrics dashboards
- Partner with Leadership on Talent Strategy
- Work with hiring managers to define role requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and compensation bands
- Advise on org design and hiring sequencing to support company goals
- Provide market intelligence on talent availability, compensation benchmarks, and competitive dynamics
- Drive Recruiting Excellence
- Own recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, pipeline conversion rates, and offer acceptance rates
- Continuously improve sourcing channels and candidate experience
- Build GovSignals' employer brand through compelling job descriptions, outreach, and candidate touchpoints
- Scale the Function
- Establish the foundation to grow recruiting capacity as hiring needs increase
- Document processes and build the operational infrastructure for a future recruiting team
Requirements
- 5+ years of recruiting experience with at least 2 years in a startup or high-growth environment where you built or significantly scaled hiring
- Demonstrated track record of personally closing exceptional talent—people who meaningfully elevated the teams they joined
- Experience hiring across multiple functions including technical roles (engineers) and go-to-market roles (sales, customer success, marketing)
- Ability to move fast without sacrificing quality—comfortable managing 10+ active searches simultaneously
- Strong sourcing skills with creativity in finding passive candidates beyond standard channels
- Excellent judgment in evaluating talent and calibrating hiring bars
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to build process while executing
- Outstanding communication skills—you can represent GovSignals compellingly to candidates and provide clear, actionable feedback to hiring managers
- High ownership mentality—you treat open roles like your own problem to solve, not tickets to process
- Experience with ATS platforms and recruiting analytics.
