About the role
- Contributes to the delivery of a trusted emergency preparedness program in Alberta
- Contributes to research development
- Creates public education and awareness messaging for Albertans
- Leads and participates in projects, committees, and working groups with other government departments
Requirements
- University degree in Disaster and Emergency Management, Communications, Environmental Science or related
- 2 years related experience or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of Alberta’s emergency management framework, legislation, plans, and operational guidelines
- Ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate programs and projects with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Skill in building and maintaining relationships with diverse partners
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/M365 and intermediate Adobe Acrobat skills
