About the role
- Lead and oversee apprenticeship Delivery Services operations within the Edmonton Region, ensuring consistent and effective client service.
- Provide leadership in workforce planning, performance management, budgeting, and financial oversight.
- Ensure regional operations comply with the Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship Education Act, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Support the development and Implementation of provincial strategies, operational plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead staff in modernizing service delivery through strong change management.
- Analyze trends, performance data, and service outcomes to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholder groups to foster bilateral communication and maintain awareness of stakeholder needs and improvement opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and support staff through change while fostering an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing workplace.
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior leadership on operations and emerging issues.
- Provide a productive and safe work environment through the promotion of the GOA OH&S model, staff development and mentorship, and health wellness practices.
Requirements
- A recognized trade certificate and/or University degree (Business, Adult Education, Management Development Program) plus four years related experience.
- Significant experience in operations management, service delivery and transformation, or program administration.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervising teams in a complex, client-focused environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
