About the role
- Reporting to the Executive Director of the Continuing Care Branch
- Lead three teams comprised of professional staff
- Develop and implement legislation and strategic policy
- Oversee branch grant management processes
- Create networks and strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Formulate client and family focused legislation and policies
- Monitor system wide performance and improvement initiatives
- Act as a resource to ALA officials and operators
- Direct the use of best practices associated with change management
- Coach and mentor the managers and staff
Requirements
- A Bachelors Degree in Clinical, Social Science, Healthcare Administration
- 7+ years of experience in policy, program, administrative, operational, or strategic roles
- Experience leading a Team of Individuals
- Master's degree in any of the above specializations is preferred
- Experience working in a Government Role at Federal/Provincial/Municipality
- Experience in health system or continuing care delivery, policy development, stakeholder engagement
- Strong understanding of provincial government and regional health authority structure and decision-making
- Knowledge of Policy Management Process
- Project Management and Risk Management Skills
