About the role
- Provide strategic leadership for regulated industries in transportation
- Oversee essential programs to ensure a safe and efficient transportation system
- Manage permitting processes and uphold standards for driver training and examination
- Ensure compliance and facilitate integration of new transportation technologies
- Engage stakeholders to identify opportunities and resolve regulatory issues
- Implement effective solutions to advance branch objectives
Requirements
- Extensive senior leadership experience
- Demonstrated record of success in strategic policy development
- Advanced strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong history of stakeholder engagement and collaboration
- Experience in driving innovative change management initiatives
- Strong political acumen
- Ability to navigate complex and sensitive environments
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and project management capabilities
- Post-secondary education in a related field preferred
- Experience in policy development within a provincial government context an asset
- Experience in the transportation industry considered an asset
