About the role
- The Director leads a diverse team of professionals.
- Overseeing governance, operations, performance monitoring, and strategic planning for the RTDRS.
- Establish and maintain rules of practice and procedure, and a code of conduct.
- Conduct service reviews and support consistency of practice and professional development.
- Engage with stakeholders, Courts, Universities, and advocacy groups to adopt best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law, public administration or in a related field.
- 7 years of related experience.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in management and leadership roles within a public sector or service delivery environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of tribunal management.
- Experience with the common law of contracts, statutory interpretation, and working knowledge of specific statutes including: Residential Tenancies Act, Mobile Home Sites Tenancies Act, Access to Information Act, Protection of Privacy Act, Alberta Rules of Court, Civil Enforcement Act, Alberta Human Rights Act.
