Drive sustainable revenue growth by developing merchant business across assigned area.
Build and maintain relationships with merchants; provide consultative solutions and regular business reviews.
Onboard new merchants, canvass regularly, and increase market penetration.
Identify business opportunities and actively observe competitor and market movements.
Support merchants by identifying and resolving issues related to promotions, advertising, troubleshooting, documentation, outlets, entities, or brands.
Develop Joint Business Plans to grow merchant portfolios and support city initiatives (Merchant Partnership, Assortment, Merchant Spending).
Collaborate closely with Area Sales Manager, Region Sales team, Merchant Strategy, Sales Support, Operations, and User Growth.
Ensure timely submission and administration of advertisements, promotions, agreement changes, and handle merchant complaints.
Report to Area Sales Manager and seek assistance from appropriate Person In Charge; continuously develop skills and product knowledge.
Requirements
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a top 5 FMCG, telecommunications, or tech company.
Over 1 year spent in a representative area with a strong network and knowledge of the region.
Strong business sense with solid understanding of markets, customers, and competitors.
Existing relationships or ability to bridge, develop, and maintain good relationships with key partners.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Fact-based, number-oriented; able to interpret data to make data-driven decisions.
Comfortable working under pressure in fast-paced and ambiguous environments; self-motivated and results-driven.
Willing to be placed in any location within Gojek’s area of operations.
