About the role
- Set priorities, coordinate and participate in the daily workflow for the department, ensuring quality of work and timely completion of assignments.
- Monitor department productivity; develop and implement procedures to optimize effectiveness; ensure that space, equipment and technology are used effectively.
- Oversee departmental personnel and monitor attendance and performance issues.
- Serve as mentor to departmental staff and assist in staff development.
- Project manage smaller projects where necessary.
- Maintain all HR business systems within the firm to ensure 24/7 availability.
- Maintain security access to all HRIS applications.
- Deploy configuration changes throughout all environments.
- Manage and document application integration interfaces between inter-dependent business applications.
- Engineer and unit test new applications and application changes.
- Successfully test, implement, and transition solutions to production.
- Advise and support project teams on technical issues relating to HR database and applications.
- Scope and design detailed technology solutions to specific HR business needs.
- Communicate status and key business information effectively to both management and internal customers.
- Serve as third level help desk support for areas of technology assigned.
- Act as liaison and subject matter expert between HR, IT, Finance and other departments.
- Understand SDLC (system development life cycle) from solution selection through implementation and support in conjunction with the various IT departments and other firm systems.
- Maintain awareness of current trends in HR technology and HR regulations.
- Assess, recommend and develop technical trainings for HR staff and other HRIS users.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent preferred.
- 8+ years of HRIS experience, preferably within a professional services environment, including experience in data management, system design, system integration and system upgrades.
- Working knowledge of privacy regulations, including but not limited to CCPA and GDPR.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with both technical and functional users.
- Experience with Workday required with a preference for Workday payroll, leaves, and time. Experience with viEval is a plus.
- SQL knowledge preferred.
- Advanced level in Microsoft Office applications, including Access, thorough understanding of core HR processes, concepts and objectives.
