About the role
- Act as the senior point of contact for key accounts and generators, building long-term partnerships through proactive engagement and structured reviews.
- Provide direct line management for a squad of Account Managers, role-modelling best practices and coaching the team to achieve KPIs and service standards.
- Take full ownership of the customer journey from onboarding to renewal, using data-led insights to manage performance and ensure payments are made within contractual timeframes.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex issues, monitoring commercial risks and deploying corrective actions to protect both the customer and the business.
- Align customer strategic goals with Good Energy’s products to ensure high customer retention as well as identify and realise partnership and revenue-driving opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Origination team and third-party specialists to ensure contractual adherence, accurate billing, and seamless end-to-end service delivery.
- Drive team delivery during periods of significant growth, adapting approach and strategy where necessary and identifying efficiencies to improve team-wide working practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience of B2B Account Management, ideally within the energy sector, and demonstrate a passion for service excellence and building long-lasting relationships
- Proven ability to role-model best practices, mentor colleagues, and drive team performance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to identify trends, resolve issues, and improve operational tools.
- A confident communicator capable of engaging and influencing both internal stakeholders and external senior partners.
- A genuine passion for renewable energy and the ability to weave our mission into every client interaction.
- A self-starter who excels at managing a complex portfolio while remaining a dedicated team player.
- Confident traveling to meet key clients in person to strengthen partnerships.
- Experience in renewables, microgeneration, or operational roles within the energy sector.
- Experience leading teams or processes through periods of growth or industry transition.
