About the role
- Gather recruitment needs, clarify the desired profile, and write/update job descriptions.
- Post and optimize job advertisements (Indeed, LinkedIn and others) and manage incoming applications.
- Structure and maintain project files: naming conventions, filing, version control and traceability.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and oversee follow-ups (confirmations, communications, reminders).
- Participate in the selection process (structured questions, summaries, recommendations) and ensure a professional candidate experience.
- Prepare offer components and coordinate required pre-employment verifications (e.g., references) according to the role.
- Keep tracking/pipeline spreadsheets up to date and produce basic metrics (volume, timelines, sources).
- Coordinate onboarding and integration (documents, checklists, access/steps) in collaboration with hiring managers.
- Provide first-line transactional HR support: respond to inquiries, prepare letters, assist with benefits and manage general communications.
- Actively participate in the Health and Safety Committee (HSC) and coordinate related activities (meeting notices, agendas, note-taking, follow-ups, documentation and traceability).
- Support HR and people management communications in collaboration with HR leadership (memos, Teams/email messages, internal postings, reminders and information distribution to teams).
Requirements
- Education in human resources, industrial relations, business administration or a related field (college diploma/DEC, certificate or bachelor’s degree) or equivalent experience.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (recruiting, coordination, customer service, administrative).
- Open to more experienced candidates if the application meets the needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Service-oriented mindset, sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Strong interest in occupational health and safety and ease with coordinating administrative follow-ups (HSC, documentation), as well as composing simple, clear internal communications.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to commute to headquarters (Laval).
