About the role

  • Manage the full accounts payable and accounts receivable processes;
  • Process payroll for all employees;
  • Perform bank reconciliations for approximately twenty accounts and monitor credit card expenses;
  • Manage intercompany transactions and financial flows;
  • Ensure government filings, including GST/QST remittances;
  • Actively collaborate in the preparation of financial statements for external auditors;
  • Support general accounting operations with a focus on continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • Relevant diploma in accounting or management;
  • Significant experience in a similar role;
  • Strong experience in bookkeeping and preparing accurate financial statements;
  • Deep knowledge of finance principles, accounting entries, and applicable standards;
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data;
  • Ability to interpret financial data and propose strategic solutions;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and strict adherence to deadlines;
  • Proven ability to work independently and productively in a 100% remote environment;
  • Advanced proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, etc.);
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel; familiarity with Xero and/or Pennylane is an asset;
  • Fluent in French (spoken and written);
  • Functional English required to facilitate international communications.
