About the role

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets including electrical distribution, industrial, construction, transportation, and utility.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow revenue and market share.
  • Prospect and qualify new customers, distributors, and OEM accounts.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through closing and implementation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor partners and key accounts.
  • Conduct customer visits, product presentations, and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with distributors to identify growth opportunities and new applications.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers regarding product selection and solutions.
  • Identify emerging market trends and customer needs.
  • Promote our client’s custom cable assembly capabilities and engineering support.
  • Work closely with product management and engineering to develop solutions for customer applications.
  • Identify opportunities for new products or market expansion.
  • Partner with inside sales, operations, and engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Assist with pricing strategies, quotes, and proposals.
  • Support new product launches and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide feedback from the field to improve product offerings and customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and sales activity reporting in CRM.
  • Track key sales metrics and business development progress.
  • Participate in sales meetings, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in manufacturing, electrical distribution, or industrial markets.
  • Experience working with distributors and OEM customers preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinking and market development capabilities
  • Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to travel to customer and distributor locations as required (Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas)
