Maintain pharmacy documentation and processes: inventory lists, high-alert medication lists and processes, sales recording, purchasing/procurement, petty cash, quality metrics
Participate in committees and policy revisions and updates
Manage device management, Diamond Management, and insurance management processes
Ensure new pharmacy staff are trained and competent and provide input into staff evaluations
Cover pharmacy operations during emergencies and unplanned absences
Coordinate with nurses, physicians, nutritionists and therapists to create customized care plans in person and on a digital platform
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to Center policies for protection of personal and sensitive data
Create clinical criteria for new and existing pharmaceuticals, conduct academic research, develop guidelines and policies, and resolve medication safety issues
Analyze patient medical histories and evaluate laboratory data to inform prescribing and minimize risks
Report adverse drug events and suspected drug abuse; keep meticulous records
Prescribe medications based on clinical research, lab results and patient interviews
Monitor drug expenditure, forecast cost impact of new drugs, and manage drug introductions and inventory
Support equality, diversity and rights of patients, carers and colleagues and behave in a welcoming, non-judgmental manner
Participate in annual individual performance review and maintain record of personal/professional development
Design and develop pharmacy policies and protocols for remote patient monitoring interaction and patient-centric services
Manage procurement process and inventory management
Understand, follow and support hospital infection control programs
Requirements
Able to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
BS in Pharmaceutical science (MPharm/Masters degree is an advantage)
Holds a DHA license
Experience in hospital pharmacy or equivalent area of practice
Experience in Clinical pharmacy or Medication safety or related area
Ability to remain calm under pressure and apply sound judgment while working with high-volume/high-expectation participants
Effective communicator, able to work in a close-knit team and cooperate with all medical and paramedical staff
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; maintain helpful, caring and courteous relationships with participants
Ability to manage and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on urgency
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; ability to develop solutions and recommend changes and follow through with implementation
Data User–General Employee Security Access and adherence to related policies
Follow EMR and patient information access policies and report security or policy violations
Data Owner responsibilities including ensuring legal/regulatory compliance, assigning information classification, approving information security standards and procedures
Provisioning and deaccessioning of information access as determined by data owner
Understanding and reporting security risks and reviewing documentation of security risks by data owners
