About the role

  • Bring leadership and managerial expertise and skills to the next level
  • Provide business, funding, quality and inclusion support to the early years and childcare sector
  • Collaborate with the Head of Service and Service Managers across the Education Service
  • Combine line management responsibility with operational planning, delivery and development of the service
  • Ensure access to high quality, inclusive and sustainable provision that supports positive outcomes, developmental progress and successful transitions.
  • Based at Shire Hall in Gloucester.
  • Collaborate with a range of partners and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Experienced manager
  • Organised and proactive professional
  • Passion for improving outcomes for children
  • Understanding of how early education and childcare contribute to this
  • Skilled at building effective relationships with system partners
  • Evidence resilience and political awareness to deliver within an increasingly challenging landscape.
