About the role
- Architect and drive the development of scalable, reusable frontend components and shared libraries that power GlossGenius web applications.

- Partner closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams across the org to align on and deliver a cohesive, high-quality web experience.
- Set the standard for frontend best practices — including code quality, accessibility, performance optimization, and design system consistency — and actively raise the bar across engineering.
- Own and drive improvements to frontend tooling, build pipelines, and developer workflows to increase velocity across engineering teams.
- Champion the adoption of AI-powered development tools (e.g. Cursor, GitHub Copilot) and help establish best practices for how engineers at GlossGenius leverage AI effectively and responsibly.
- Serve as a technical leader and go-to resource in code reviews, architectural decisions, and cross-functional technical discussions.
- Identify systemic problems and proactively propose and implement solutions that have broad impact across multiple teams.
- Contribute to mobile efforts where applicable, lending your frontend expertise to ensure consistency across web and mobile surfaces.
Requirements

- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, CSS-in-JS, and responsive/adaptive design principles.
- Proven experience building and evolving component libraries, design systems, or shared UI frameworks at scale.
- Deep understanding of web performance — bundle optimization, lazy loading, rendering strategies, Core Web Vitals, and profiling.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Cursor, GitHub Copilot) and a genuine enthusiasm for using AI to accelerate engineering productivity.
- A forward-thinking mindset around AI — someone who actively explores how emerging tools and workflows can improve how teams build software, and can help shape those practices org-wide.
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, driving projects from ambiguous problem statements to polished, production-ready solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence technical direction and align stakeholders across teams.
- Familiarity with React Native or cross-platform mobile development is a plus, but not required.
