About the role

  • Prospecting and running Heartland Point of Sale presentations in person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses
  • Close deals within a fast sales cycle and achieve quota
  • Explain value proposition and demonstrate cloud based Point of Sale solution
  • Upsell current clients on other Heartland products and services
  • Maintain regular communication with the Point of Sale District Manager and report to a District Manager
  • Set appointments with business owners via network and referral partnerships
  • Run scheduled appointments, uncover needs, and present Heartland Point of Sale solutions to close sales
  • During training, be accompanied by District Manager for on-the-job coaching
  • Use CRM platforms Atlas and Salesforce for lead generation, sales presentations, client financial analysis, and paperless contract processing
  • Maintain existing/prospective client records in CRM (Atlas) including call notes and scheduled interactions
  • Attend weekly team meeting and weekly one-on-one with leader
  • Continuously build knowledge of product/service portfolio and fintech industry developments

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • This position requires regular driving to visit client sites; valid drivers license is necessary
  • In accordance with state law, a background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment
  • Completion of mandatory drug screening on or near 60th day of employment
  • Live in area relative to job posting location
  • Ability to be in the field, a minimum of 75% of the time
  • High school diploma/GED (preferred)
  • At least two years of relevant experience (preferred)
  • Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with CRM platforms Atlas and Salesforce
  • Knowledge of Restaurant and/or Retail industry is a plus
