About the role
- Responsible for ongoing support, coaching, and mentorship development and day-to-day management of a team of Media Specialists.
- Provide strategic and tactical leadership across the accounts within their pod(s).
- Ability to manage large, complex clients
- Responsible for oversight of strategy and performance results of clients within their assigned pod(s).
- Understanding of full suite of Amazon and other retail media ad products and the ability to develop and measure a full-funnel, multi-channel, multi-goal marketing plan.
- Accountable for leading annual account planning efforts across accounts within pods/client support teams under their management, ensuring client marketing goals and objectives and clearly defined, documented, and shared with each pod/client support team.
- Accountable for identifying and driving the presentation of client retail media growth opportunities outside of Amazon (Instacart, Walmart, Criteo, Kroger, etc.)
- Actively identify new advertising opportunities across Sponsored Ads and DSP to move accounts on a continued growth path and provide recommendations to brand and advertising leads across the organization to help drive business results.
- Responsible for evangelizing, training, educating and driving innovation in how we use ad management and analytics platforms including Skai and Intentwise.
- Responsible for evangelizing incremental measurement tools (AMC, OCM) and deploying these tools based on the unique measurement needs of each client
- Responsibility for day-to-day management and development of Media Specialists direct reports
- Provide ongoing support, coaching, and mentorship to the sponsored ads media specialist team as a whole, working to instill best practices, drive knowledge sharing and team camaraderie.
- Partner cross-functionally on initiatives that support the processes and growth of the sponsored ads teams.
- Responsible for championing and driving adoption of initiatives developed to educate, support and progress the MMS team.
- Responsible for translating leadership goals within their pod orgs, direct reports and clients.
- Active contributor and thought leader in ideating and driving initiatives that have an impact on the overall sponsored ads team and on sponsored ads at GO in totality.
- Actively seek out new Amazon product offerings and BETAs that can be utilized with our clients.
- Ability to manage through ambiguity and problem solve.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience with Amazon or other retail media channels
- 3+ years people management experience
- Required Amazon Sponsored Ads experience
- Experience with Amazon Advertising & other retail media channels
- Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate level in order to efficiently manipulate large sets of data for analysis.
- Preferred experience: Tableau, Skai, Jungle Scout/Cobalt, Criteo/Citrus Ads and Retailer ad console platforms
