Full-stack Engineer

• Design and build scalable, reliable systems that power our core operations—whether that’s donor platforms, systems that deliver payments directly to recipients, or crisis response tools reaching hundreds of thousands of people globally.
• Own end-to-end development of new features and services, from architecture through deployment and monitoring.
• Improve our developer workflows by strengthening CI/CD pipelines, reducing manual steps, and increasing test coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, ops, data) to understand real-world needs and ship tools that directly support program delivery in the field.
• Debug and resolve production issues across our stack, with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term fixes.

Senior Software Engineer

Account Manager

• Conduct county-level research for priority states, synthesizing data on poverty, birth rates, infant mortality, and Medicaid coverage to identify highest-need geographies and model program costs from government and public health datasets
• Research and map the stakeholder landscape in new states, identifying those aligned with maternal and child health, early childhood, or unconditional cash
• Track multi-state pipeline across prospect, active, and committed stages—flagging risks and identifying next steps to maintain momentum
• Build and maintain briefing materials, contact lists, and workplans across a multi-state pipeline
• Support the Program Director in preparing for external meetings—drafting agendas, preparing background research, and developing presentation materials

Program Manager

• Ensure excellent operational delivery across multiple programs
• Track and mitigate risks across domains including compliance, legal, and operations

• Support the US program team in executing high quality programs, with an eye towards proactive risk identification and mitigation
• Oversee and level up the “delivery ops” of the US portfolio, including portfolio planning, KPI infrastructure, finance tracking, and grants & compliance strategy
• Serve as the US program team liaison to global Compliance, Internal Audit, Safeguarding, People/HR, and Finance teams

Program Director

• Fully own end-to-end design, planning, and execution of cash projects, and coordinate with external and internal stakeholders to ensure successful end-to-end execution
• Design and build operational models for new programs, including assessing trade-offs of different design decisions (e.g. targeting, payments, customer service)
• Manage partnerships with vendors, subgrantees, subcontractors, and other external parties to support implementation

• Own and evolve GiveDirectly’s senior philanthropy strategy (acquisition, close, and upsell) across high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and foundations
• Translate organizational priorities and long-term ambitions, including the goal to deliver $5B by 2035, into clear fundraising strategies and high-leverage opportunities
• Partner closely with the VP of Partnerships & Philanthropy and the CEO on the highest-priority philanthropic relationships
• Deepen partnerships within the finance and technology sectors while expanding GiveDirectly’s philanthropic base to include next-generation wealth holders, trust-based donors, etc.
• Manage and grow a selective portfolio of major philanthropists
• Lead complex, high-stakes donor conversations resulting in significant, multi-year, and transformational commitments
• Serve as a trusted partner to philanthropists engaging with GiveDirectly’s most ambitious initiatives
