• Lead geospatial analysis design: Work with the GiveDirectly research team to translate research hypotheses about market effects into testable geospatial proxies (e.g., agricultural intensification, road quality, population clustering, infrastructure development).
• Source and evaluate imagery options: Identify, assess, and procure satellite imagery or telecom data from various sources for study areas; evaluate data quality, temporal resolution, and suitability for hypothesis testing.
• Conduct exploratory analysis, and interpret findings: Execute spatial analysis on smaller samples of pilot data to detect changes in agricultural composition, cultivation intensity, infrastructure, and spatial patterns of economic activity.
• Develop repeatable analysis scripts: Build reproducible, well-documented code (Python/R/GIS tools) for automated detection and quantification of landscape and infrastructure changes over time.

Remote Sensing Analyst

Public Relations

• This position will be responsible for pitching GiveDirectly programs and research to key media and thought leaders, reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Media and Strategic Communications.
• This person will be pitching traditional media and supporting GiveDirectly’s surrogate strategy — cultivating relationships with public intellectuals, newsletter writers, podcasters, and other content creators who can serve as credible, independent advocates for cash transfers to high-value audiences.
• In addition, this person will help build the infrastructure that makes the team smarter and faster. This includes maintaining and improving internal systems and being the in-team expert on AI-powered tools and automation.

Media Relations Associate

• Implement approaches for systematically assessing needs in crisis-affected populations.
• Incorporate traditional humanitarian data sources (e.g., needs assessments, poverty statistics, vulnerability indices, displacement monitoring, etc.) and novel data sources (e.g., geospatial imagery, call detail records, social media, crowd-sourcing, etc.) into GD’s targeting systems.
• Provide clear targeting analysis with relevant subpopulations for emergency cash programs as a service to other teams, visualizing data on maps and dashboards.
• Based on determined targeting criteria, general recipient lists of individuals to be enrolled in GD EC programs.
• Provide targeting analysis services for both GD’s preparedness and response states – scoping and prioritizing relevant subpopulations based on pre-existing risks and delivering on-demand analysis during response deployments (remote).
• Monitor global risks and crises, providing analysis for GD teams to make activation decisions.

• Design and implement high-quality programming: Coordinate design, planning, and execution of emergency response operations, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

• The U.S. Internal Audit Program Manager will play a key role in driving and executing program risk management oversight across GiveDirectly’s cash transfer projects within the U.S.
• Primary responsibilities include leading end-to-end fraud and risk management, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving operational excellence and improvement.
• The Internal Audit Program Manager will manage internal audit teams and lead in detecting risks associated with cash programs.

Internal Audit Manager

• Lead safeguarding design and implementation for EC activations from preparedness through to closure, ensuring safeguarding considerations are embedded in all stages of response.
• Conduct rapid safeguarding risk assessments for emergency contexts and ensure mitigation measures are incorporated into operational and programme plans.
• Deliver safeguarding induction and regular training for EC teams, surge staff, and implementing partners to promote safe behaviours and strengthen awareness of safeguarding responsibilities.
• Advise response leads on safeguarding risks and ensure incident management follows survivor centred and recipient first principles.
• Lead or support the management of safeguarding concerns during deployments in collaboration with Internal Audit and People teams, ensuring appropriate documentation, escalation, and follow up.
